First ICT.. need help

got a lil prob.... goin back for my first ICT in march... anyway to give an excuse not to cut my hair.... if die die must cut... can recommend a hair style that will enable me to grow it back fast...

very sian now...

First day ICT usually ur Unit RSM or worst ur Division RSM will come down and "play tag" while you que up to INPRO... If he not happy with your hairstyle or facial hairs, he will not let you to be process in and will order you to go visit the camp's barber first (thats what you get when you wear back the No. 4). If you somehow manage to escape his attention, rest assured there will be many other occasions which you can be spotted.

One way to avoid such detection is to maybe gel and style your hair to the point that it does not seem long. Sometimes I guess as long as its prim and proper they might let you off.

If you somehow need long hair or an afro for work reason (eg. an artist upkeeping an image), you can actually apply for an excuse letter and they will let you keep it during your ICT.

Btw if you color your hair, you will have to dye it back to its original color too.

Sucky rite... 6 more cycles to go....

Yeah you have to go in sooner or later so MC is short term solution. Unless it's permanent MC. But yeah depends on the RSM, if it's Pasir Laba Camp you can forget about it. The RSM is anal about haircuts.

Also I would recommend cut your hair before u go there, because the barber usually sucks like crazy and not very hygienic, I remember some of my mates last year were left with a really bad haircut and got weird rashes at their neck after they were forced to cut their hair.

you can try just trimming the outline, then comb it like some nerd... if u wear some stylo hairstyle to camp you would probably be more likely to kena, lest the RSM think ur trying to be funny

Pasir Laba RSM is anal about haircuts and i totally agree,which leads to my Senior Medic nagging at us to get our hair cut all the time.ugh

So is Hendon Camp's RSM. He always threaten my men that if their hair is any longer than his, they will all cut 1 by 1.

And he's hairstyle is like... 3 by 3 the longest i tihnk

Be a good soldier and cut your hair. Later kena extra not worth it as you have to serve the extra duties and STILL have to cut your hair. Anyway, your hair will grow back.

I just finished my 2nd High Key ICT last week. As a matter of fact, I'm looking forward to the next ICT with my unit. Its not that I'm a "siow on" kind of NSmen. Its just dat the whole bunch of ppl in my unit is just crazy and fun loving. Have fun and suffer together..

Late night combat shoot to damn early morning IPPT.. Of course there will be ppl who will "keng" and they'll suffer most than ppl who go "chiong" bcos they'll be pulled in to do more "Sai-kang" duties while the rest who have just finished training go back to bunk and rest.

As for disciplinarian wise, all RSM and CCSM are doing their legitimate job.. Die die also, if an NSmes hair is not up to SAF regulation, die die also kena cut...

LAN LAN suck thumb for those who think they can escape..

Btw, have fun during ur ICT.. Dont forget to bring xtra cash for canteen breaks!!

erm.... yea, its an ICT after all dude.... wat EXTRA summore i can get.... haha, most to most i pay fine loh... haha(for long hair) haha dun think they want me to do duty or shit... hahaha

think i'll try the gel and look nerdy tactic.... thnks guys....
