hey guys.
need help regarding these.
need to find the perfect amp to match my sound.
here,we've got a tube amp,a standard stacked unit and a solid state.
ok here's the outline.

im using a pedalboard,full with modulations,reverbs,delays.
im using an overdrive for dirty cleans.
for distortions,i stack my od with an amt dt-2.(somewhat sansamp GT-2 clone)
on my usual amp settings, the mids would be always at midnight, bass and treble around 1-2 oclock and 3-4 oclock respectively.
what i want is an amp to match my sound.
basically,my sound is pretty chugga chugga, slightly mid boost, and a little touch of treble for the hair, the attack.
but the gain on my dt-2 is close to zero.
the gain on my od is around 9 oclock.
and i use a RC booster and compressor for that overall attack, tone, roundness.

ive always love jazz chorus.
awesome amp.
thats basically the amp,for analog pedals.
well for me that is.

okay, the problem is,ive been given these 3 amps
there's 3 amps out there and im thinking of furthering my options more.
but i only get to try the twin reverb and jcm 2000 TSL only in august.
any advice/reviews/tips/etc on these two amps.?
and wether it fits my overall sound right?
i really need help man!

thanks alot for your time!

3 different animals altogether... very hard to choose... i'd say play thro all 3 and decide cos they're all really different.

jc120 is a legendary amp man ...but you probably not gonna bring it out much due to its size...

fender twin reverb is also another worthy contender... very nice tube fender cleans... uber high headroom and volume...

but between the two, id say the roland is better for your effects
- also less problems in the long run, due to its solid state nature.

hmm.
thanks alot guys.!
okay.

all the guitar tracks are recorded through a marshall jcm2000 dsl, laney (forgot the model) and a ceriatone jtm 45 at snakeweed acoustic labs.
the tracks are unmixed though and unfinalised for the guitar tracks.
i use the drive on the marshall and laney heads during recording.
boost it with several pedals.
dirty cleans on the jtm 45.
but during live,i use my pedals for my gain.
still deciding between the 3 amps.
top of the list is of course jc120.
anyone tried the JCM2000 TSL before?
i wonder if it goes well with pedals
some marshall heads like the JCM2000 DSL dirty channel sounds really good.
as for twin reverb, havent try it before.

keep the replies/advices/thoughts/tips/etc... comin guys.
really appreciate it.
thanks alot!

if you use pedals, the jc120 is uber solid i guess. Its uncolored clean tone allows your guitar and pedals to come through it. Think of it taking in your pedals like a sponge. However like most transistor based solid state amps, it tends to be noisy at high volumes....

I like Marshalls but the clean tone leaves more to be desired.....for me. The Fender Duluxe is a good choice too. Both being more of a tube kinda amp, with more saturation and breakup at high volumes.

the same can be said for the twin.. but if you are thinking of bringing it for jamming you can forget it.. it weighs a ton.

:P
