is there even the most remote likelilhood that some blur guy will go to GC, see the Allparts neck with the Fender decals on them, mistake them for authentic Fender necks, and then plop down some cash based on this msconceived notion?
Is this situation plausible?
Anything is possible. If u can think of it, it can happen. However, allparts necks have this big stamping at the heel - 'ALLPARTS, LICENSED BY FENDER' Unless the guy is a half wit, I don't think anyone can mistake the neck for a genuine Fender one.
Is it illegal to paste Fender decals? How about those fender decals on motorcycles and cars? Illegal? It is probably only illegal insofar that the retailer passes it off as a genuine Fender product. All Fender licensed necks have slightly 'off' dimensions from their fender counter parts. Just check the heel of the warmoth guitars and you'll know.
Like Mikemann has said, is it wrong when a customer gives the retailer a decal and gets him to fix it on? Who is wrong here? The supplier of the decal? The customer? Or the retailer? Is anyone even wrong in the first place? It's amazing how some forum members rant without any backup to their assertions. Without reference to anyone, knowing what one is saying, doesn't mean it is right.
