but the H1 has better parts rite?

hmmz , refer to the earlier part of the thread.

american standard WAS the DISCONTINUED AMERICAN stratocaster series. it is of AMERICAN production and theoreoatically of higher workmanship and commands a higher premium. Hwy 1 strats utilise necks from the discontinued AMERICAN STANDARD if i m not mistaken. the AMERICAN Standard was replaced by the AMERICAN series ( if i m not mistaken, could be the other way round)

necks wise onli. BODY is crafted and made in AMERICA. pickups from mexico

besides. sale ends today . offer no more :(

I would suppose so.
Sub could clear this up...

not exactly. H1 hardware (less the frets) are outsourced, Asian parts. they contribute towards making the H1 sound good in its entirity. the H1 has its whole made in the US, hence its 'Made in USA' stamp on the headstock...

THANK YOU
dear friends, the Highway1 promotion has ended, thanks for taking time to read my postings here & more importantly, trusting my sources.

it's good to know that there are people out there who are willing to give the H1 series a try. for many of us, if it's finish-related, it has to be eye-candy but the H1 proved to be less visually stunning but still toneful. however, some of us still find it detestable, well i guess it's a personal pick, you are definitely entitled to yours.

may we come across some other bargains in time to come- once again, thanks! 8)
