Faulty Snare strainer

Hi there!,
I currently have a problem and i need help!! My Snare strainer seems to get stuff every time i bring the lever down to OFF. and when i try yanking the lever back up, it just get stuck! Unless i pull the whole strainer up itself, then it'll budge. This problem is really bugging me! hoping any kind bros out there can help me! Thanks!

I suppose the strainer that you are using is a Chinese Made OEM Gladstone Style Strainer, what you can do is put some WD-40 on the part that is always "stucked" and wait for a few minutes, it will work, if it doesn't put more until it works, unless you are strainer is really faulty.
