F.Rose bridge

i've heard so much about how difficult, user-unfriendly etc the F.Rose bridge is.
I just want to know, is it really worth the effort? Say you are a whammer la.
And is it really so difficult to tune and all? It sounds so intimidating!

Well it is if you think about it.
But after years of experience, like all other things, it becomes second nature.

it WAS difficult. but u'll get used to it, and after u do, u see how amazing it is! i cant live w/o a FR now man

it can be a bitch at first but once you set it up properly it's all good. i still prefer fixed bridges though, only keep one guitar with a FR. the rest are all blocked,FR or not. i dont use the whammy much in my playing and the difference in body resonance is amazing.

Yeah have to agree, it's always intimidating at first. The hassle, the trouble and the irritating string-changing, but it's gonna be a breeze when you've gotten use to it. :)

who says 'floyding' is troublesome, its the same as any other guitar, except you gotta tune through a few times before you get in tune

well.........everything sounded much more creative and colourful with the floyd rose around. you'll love it!

u might encounter some problems with floyd roses especially when u want to downtune or change the gauge of your strings.. it screws up your guitar setup..
it will be very troublesome to do another good guitar setup for me cause im not good at doing it!

my first guitar was a floyd rose bridge guitar.

As newbie as I was the more I change the strings the lower the bridge went.
You gotta change strings one by one and if it gets out, you gotta make the bridge float and restring from there again.

The screws behind the guitar also plays a big part in the setting up of the guitar. Kindda troublesome, but once you get the hang of it, you're there and the guitar is worth it.

and Yeah, get a good floyd rose bridge guitar with schraller or gotoh or the new floyd rose II bridge.

No need to restring 1 by 1 if you know what you are doing.

And besides. good FRs result in not having to touch your tuners for up to 1 1/2 mths. Its THAT stable.

The speedloader.U juz slide the string in.no cutting of ball end required.

Like Shredcow says no need to restring 1by1..U juz need to stabilize the bridge and its clear sailing..

how about the bridge on those js30 jacksons ? is it good ?

I don;t know what bridge is on that but if its not the Original FR, which is on their higher end guitars, its only an average bridge. JT something or what... not reliable.

1 bad thing abt this, you can only use speedloader strings. And there are licensed speedloaders (found on lower end BC Rich guitars) that are not up to standard...

In anycase, on a regular FR, you can avoid snipping off the ball end. :D

If you guys wanna check it out, head down to Ranking Sports. They have got Floyd Rose guitars. Yes, FR does make guitars... :) With no tuners.

i saw ranking selling a floyd rose which is a licensed floyd rose only for $35...so it must be less quality than gotoh or edge right?

licensed mean they are made like the good ones or just made?
