Everything gp5.

creeping_deth: dude! u will have to buy the full version..now someone has it,and if distributed, its illegal!

As a composer, I love how one can remove the tablature and have a full view of all tracks. I don't like how one cannot change the key for just one track, and I think RSE sounds aweful. New artwork is nice too. I wish one could have a track that is simply a standard instrument - not having to conform with being a 6 string guitar etc.
I was among the first 500 to buy it, and so I got the entire My Song Book archive with it. Its fun :D
Overall, I think there is room for loads of improvement, but it's a really neat program.

If im not wrong, the RSE can only be activated if u bought the full version instead of dling the free demo version.

As for the RSE sounding awful, i feel that it's not the problem of the RSE. Rather i feel that it's a volume balance problem. Because most tabs are "mixed" in midi, and the some of the RSE sounds are relatively softer than the others, so when u turn it on the sound balance is just not right.

Another gripe is the drum sounds. I feel that the snare and bass drum is too soft. Kinda give me headaches whenever i play songs from GP4/3 tabs.

F2 works perfectly for me... :)

Chang: I hope I did use the correct terminology; "MIDI Drivers". You can check here - http://www.cc.rim.or.jp/~hiroki/english/

Basically, after downloading, you goto Options and MIDI Setup, change your MIDI synthesizer, something like that... Sometimes it sounds better, sometimes the default sounds better...

I did this after a recommendation in a forum... But after RSE is out, I uninstalled it already... Not that it is no longer effective, just that I am not that picky for the time being...

xspace: hmm so issit an independent software by itself or do i install the patches onto my com and use them via GP5?

U mentioned midi drivers btw.. are they something to enhance the sound of RSE? or issit the midi software tt u linked me to?

Sorry for the queries, im not v good with electronic music myself. :)

Erm, I think I am kinda inadequate to answer it correctly.

What I did was juz to install the package. And while using GP4/5, I would goto Options, MIDI Setup and change it to Wingroove. Sometimes it sounds better, sometimes not. Yes it's the MIDI thingy, I am talking about.

RSE is kinda not really linked here... It's more like when you create your Guitar as Overdrive, it emulates OD. If it's Distortion, Distortion for you... The tones sound more dynamic, as compared to GP4. RSE is quite independent from this MIDI setup, but again... MIDI setup affects ALL such midi sounds (if selected in Windows/Program)...

K, again... I am quite meagre over here in explanation.. More from my IT background and knowledge :D

oh ok.. then i get what u mean. I tot it was something to enhance/expand the RSE sounds, but alas it's not ;)
