Why bring us down to the level of an animal? Is that all to being human? That a dog, rat, baboon is on the same level as us? Ethics and upbringing are foreign to animals. They are lesser.
I do not support homosexuality but neither do I hate them. In fact, I wish to help them see the light that homosexuality was never intended to be, and will never be, the norm.
On another note, don't we all see a trend going on?
The world getting more and more liberal and "open", but at what price?
Its a natural steady decline of humanity as a whole and one of the main causes of the breakdown (At this point) is this whole concept of post modernistic thinking: "you have your view point, I have mine, please don't infringe". As a result of such mindsets, Ethics and Morality have degenerated to such a point where people do things their own way and thats it. You can't tell me what to do. And I wouldn't have to listen anyway.
We will have a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah.
Animals were brought into the picture earlier on, I was merely making reference to that.
The exact opposite of the liberal world would be a hitler-like perfect dictorship where there is a strong and just ruler who will rule forever and never die or be overthrown. He will make the best decisions in favour of the world as a whole, usually meaning sacrficing the lives of a few. China ruled and flourished for many many years on this method. As potrayed in the movie "Hero" where Jet Li's character sacrificed his life, and the many that will soon die because he did not kill the emperor, so as to achieve the "greater good" of unifying china and in so bringing peace and prosperity.
There are very good arguments for both styles of government.
A country with one very great and wise dictator will flourish and prosper like no other, because everyone will be working for one single goal, and not looking out for their own needs. On the other hand, the single wise dictator will not live forever and it is because of bad successors that the old kingdoms fail.
A country with a perfect democracy will have no biasness, no sacrificing of one man for another. Everyone will have their own rights and are equal. On the otherhand, it will be chaotic and unruly, with people demonstrating and complaining all the time, fighting for their own rights, because they are allowed to.
The world strives for a balance between the two. So as to be as fair to everyone as possible, while being powerful.
The reason why the world is moving towards more liberalism is education. In the past you could tell people, "you are the lower class, you do what I say." Things go smoothly, and efficiently.
With education more people are saying, "Hey why do I have to do this, I have my rights." Things slow down.
So how? Do we remove education? Do we reintroduce a class system? Who decides who is to be in the lower class? Imagine if the entire world was well educated. Who's going to clean the toilets? Who's going to sweat in the hot sun? Who's going to produce your cheap pack of yummy thai rice?
To many of you, the world seems to be in a worse state because of certain groups of people. Well, if the world was to be in a perfect state, we need someone to sweat in the fields producing rice day in and day out. Would you be willing to volunteer?
Look from a bigger perspective, every one of us is stepping on the heads of many many many abused people to enjoy the luxary that we have. It seems distant because you don't see it and don't think about it. Not feeling guilty about paying 50cents for a plate of rice did with $20 worth of labour is enough, there's no need to further look for people to judge.
Going one big round, I was intending to address this:
In fact, I wish to help them see the light that homosexuality was never intended to be, and will never be, the norm.
In this, you are imposing your view that you are right and they are wrong. You know better than them. Which is, judging them.
Would the world be better with one singular ruler, or if everybody was equal? The question will probably never be answered. But it's a very good thought exercise.
