actually, Sven places too much emphasis on Rooney.. he shud concentrate on exisiting strike force.. a Crouch match Owen might be good. after all, they are both part of the Red army, my ultimate fav.

England have a healthy looking midfield - joe cole, lampard, beckham & gerrard (all of which comes from the top 3 clubs in EPL).

back there, u got john terry, carragher, rio ferdinand & ashley cole. hopefully ferdinand dun fluke.

they shud be able to survive till quarter final. but my heart still lies with Argentina. the samba soccer players.

Good game, the Germany v Costa Rica match. Can see why Ballack is not too optimistic about Germany. Sure they can score, but not every team will have a defence as porous as Costa Rica's. I admit though, Lahm and Fring's goals were UNSTOPPABLE!!! Lahm was their man of the match. Every time he got the ball, there was this sense of anticipation. If Germany were to win the world cup, they need to be a little more creative in attack.
Secondly, Germany's defence was a little suspect. They let in 2 weak goals, which I felt would have been better dealt with by Kahn. Can't but the blame solely on Lehmann though, the defenders should have done more.

Overall though, good game, 6 goals, I was a happy man.

haha i don't have scv but really, is this something to be surprised about? Quite honestly, if u want entertainment, the only person who can do it for england is rooney. Not to "overrate" him, but it's true, and many of u know it.

the england match was a bore. what a unreasonable match officials. anything that had to do with crouch jumping up more than 2 cm was a foul.
