The importance of "power" as a successful club. if u noe wad i mean.
BARCA !!!! woooooo !!! :supz:
eto'o didnt dive. :smt075

the match is over, barca win, end of discussion. if matches were to keep on replaying, it would destroy this beautiful game we call soccer. lets move on to world cup. 8)

well im pretty sure, if my eyes didnt decieve me, arsenal's goal from the indirect freekick came from a divewhich the ref thought was a foul, so either way, end of the day, barca won, arsenal lost, get over it.

bladdy linesmen was even photographed wearing barca jersey - wtf!? i tell U all out there KELOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!

BUT ...life goes on....

ur eyes totally didnt deceive u.. theyre like sharper than superman's eyes.
ok ok..
So to sump up, whether "cheat" or "bribe" or "dive" anot:

WINNER: Barcelona
LOSER: Arsenal

Barca, congrats for winning. Arsenal, thank you come again.

Yup....Arsenal lost the match and Barca was the stronger team, no doubt abt it.

Eboue divided to get the 1st freekick in which Arsenal scored. Arsenal are renowed for dividing, Pires, Cole etc. But that being said, you gotta give credit to Barca, it is never easy to play against 10 defenders. They kept going and believing....

Even if the score stayed at 1-1 if their equalizer was ruled out to be offside..anyone seriously think that Barca wldnt score again in extra time?

So be gracious....yes some decision were dubious but at least the refree was consistently bad towards both team and not bias against one.

Barca were the better team and who can deny them their victory now?

Oh ya...I forgot there are some arsenal fans cursing in denial....

Wenger hails his 'heroes' after Paris heartbreak
Barcelona 2-1 Arsenal
Champions League Round F

By Chris Harris

Arsène Wenger described his young side as "heroes" after their 2-1 defeat against Barcelona in the Champions League Final.

The Arsenal manager watched his team shrug aside the early sending off of Jens Lehmann to take the lead through Sol Campbell's header before two goals in the space of four second-half minutes ended their brave resistance.

"I don't see how much more we could have done," said Wenger after the game. "I just think my players were absolutely magnificent, they were heroes tonight but unfortunately they were not rewarded.

"We will work with them to transform their frustration to come back. This team deserves a lot of credit, we lost one game in Europe all season when it was 10 versus 11 in the Final.

"I believe they deserve a massive credit and they have not been rewarded."

Wenger singled out Sol Campbell for praise after the England defender put in a stirring display at the back.

Campbell's towering header got Arsenal's noses in front at the Stade de France and he coped with everything Barcelona's attacking riches could muster before those damaging late strikes.

"I feel that [Sol's performance] is reassuring for England, so you can have at least one satisfaction tonight," said Wenger. "He is rested as well because he has not played much and is very fit.

"I saw in the last two games that he was sharper and I am very happy for him because I know that when he has to deliver in a big game he can do it.

"You could see how happy he was with his goal and I knew there was a goal in this game for him tonight because Barcelona were weak in the air in defence."

Those are the most beautiful and CORRECT words ive heard in soft for a long time. I think arsenal cheated.. they cheated themselves.

a lotta "overnite" lallang barca fans here suddenly....

hollow victory for them just as for Juve in the kelong serie A...

and fgl strikes me as someone who cant accept defeat?

as for overnight lalang supporters? i been supporting barca since the days of romario, sonny anderson, ronaldo, luiz enrique, figo, etc so get your facts right.

fgl: plus one.

so suddenly alot of overnite barca players indeed.
anyway, i hated the way barca played after they scored the winning goal. displayed total childish-ness and unprofessionalism.

played one-two all the way. like around the defence and midfields. while when arsenal scored the winning goal they still played in style and attacking.

dont worry gunners, we will have our revenge next season.
i hope wenger changed their frustrations into fury and hunger for success. and you'll see a more formidable and experienced arsenal next season.

time for pires and bergkamp to go. and walcott and a new winger to replace them. i hope wenger sign some major deals this summer.

i think henry will stay. he would still want to be the jewel of the arsenal crown and lead the young team to fast success.
henry's very influential also, his presence brings excitement in the games.

what do you guys think?

p.s please answer thoughfully, not "henry for barca!" wtf. etc./

khai - ask the gooners not the newbie barca converts....

bye to alotta old hands Pires, Bergy etc but we build for the future...WALCOTT THE NEW PELE!

well at least we in the CL next season, unlike some clubs...and also win EPLs unlike other so called big guns who faltter to deceive 8)

Eto'o cheated? He was just too fast for Lehmann and the latter seemed to have nothing to say as he headed to the showers. Wenger later conceded that it was a foul and even Lehmann himself said on soccernet,

'Obviously, it was a bit tragic that I was out after 20 minutes,' Lehmann told German television. 'I got there a tick too late. It wasn't good.
Eboue too, should have been sent off for that reckless challenge on Van Bronckhorst minutes later. Then, Eboue himself dived for the build-up to Arsenal's goal. It's not as though he was "clotheslined". It looked more like a flick of the hand across the face yet he went down like he was shot.

As said before, I ain't no Arsenal fan, but I admit they were the better side for a while there. The part I hated was when Arsenal employed time-wasting tactics so early in the game. It was really fun when Barca were leading 2-1 and finally did some time-wasting of their own. Unlike Arsenal, who took ages to retrieve the ball for a throw-in/goal kick/corner kick, at least Barca kept the ball on the pitch all the time.

Wah Lau eh ,

Match over already,

Bottom Line ,

11 vs 10

Lousy refereeing

Barca won.

The glory will last a year only, Who's thinking or enamoured with Liverpool now?Or the winners the year before?

There's always next year.

The ride getting there was good enough,

Arsenal over achieved this season.
