Haha.. The commentator said that the year we drew both of our opening league matches was the year that we won the treble. I hope history will repeat itself :D

i'm a man utd fan and yes, i too do hope that it's the treble winning season for man utd this time around.

but honestly, i dont think it would happen. man utd needs a goalscorer. saha and solskjaer are injured half the damn time. tevez and rooney are playmaker forwards, they make things happen. we need a targetman. we need decent backup in case any of the first choice backline get injured. i seriously dont think o'shea and wes brown are good enough to step up.

not being pessimistic, being more of a realist here.

hahah yeah i do play fm! you too? i'm anxiously waiting for the new one to be released!

bayern's got two wonderful targetmen now, klose and luca toni.

man utd should get either gianpaolo pazzini (aka. the first player to score in the new wembley, as well as the first hat trick.) or david trezeguet.

claudio pizarro would have been a good addition, for free somemore.

chelsea's moves in the transfer market were extremely intelligent. to get players of pizarro's, ben-haim's and sidwell's quality on free is crazy man! if i were fergie, i'd have gotten pizarro and ben-haim.

epl in fm's gonna be way more challenging. fernando torres scores like crazy in the game.
man city's got elano, who's immense in the game. corluka becomes one of the best defenders around. got bojinov somemore, damn highly-rated in the previous versions of fm, doesnt seem that good now though.

manchester derbies in fm are gonna be soooo much tougher.

arsenal's usually my bogey team in fm, and thank goodness henry has left. heh! he's the one who always scores against me, other than julio baptista. julio baptista is damn damn imba in the game man.

dey dey too early to hope for treble. like overconfident sia u guys. see whether can qualify for champions league quarters 1st den can say, aiyo

df - what the fux is yr problem with my age U young asswipe?

BTW its 3 months but fergie is rushing back...

right now, the length of the injury isnt the issue.

it's how man utd approaches the problem and solves it.

and i know how.

buy one more striker for goodness' sake.

or if buying one's not an option, at least loan a mofo in as backup. there's no alan smith or guiseppe rossi as backup. and i think o'shea would make a better striker than dong fangzhuo.

Dong Fang-who?

They do need more willing backup strikers though. Saha, IMO, would not make a good backup. He injures himself so frequently I suspect he got that knee injury when he sneezed.

Another FM player here. I always bought Issah Eliakwu from Inter Milan back in the days of CM 03/04. In FM 05, i will buy adriano. In FM06, i wont buy any striker. but now i think we need a real goal scorer, a CONSISTENT one.

haha carlos tevez isnt a goalpoacher either. Still wonder why fergie sell van horsey.
well they cud go for Palacio from Boca, or zarate from velez.
anyway, fm 08 shld be out before christmas.

Heck man, Man U have BLOWN their title defence. The teams to support this season are prob Man City, Liverpool (my team   ), Chelsea (boo!!!) and Sunderland.

Loldude333's season analysis:

EPL Winners: Chelsea, Liverpool
Champions League Winners: Chelsea, Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich
League Cup: Arsenal, Man City
FA Cup: Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool

Top Scorer: Didier Drogba, Rolando Bianchi, Fernando Torres
Top Assists: Didier Drogba, Fernando Torres, Florent Malouda, Cristiano Ronaldo, Martin Petrov
Best Midfielder: Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Martin Petrov, Geovanni, Owen Hargreaves, Francesc Fabregas
