i was ManU fan since the TREBLE..
but no cable tv...
yet now no cable tv... there's internet!
My fav player eventhough he's gone off ManU
is still Ruud Van Nistelrooy...
Always the highlight in football talk during my secondary skool days.
Always call him TYCO KING!
Seriously if u look all at his goals... they are really tyco..
Rebound score or just run in to shoot.
Hey not to forget... He's Spanish Liga's top scorer of the latest season!

ok folks, amongst the strikers mentioned below, who of which do you think will come up tops? come-on, lets try to be as objective as possible?

It will be fun to see how many posts of civilised opinions will occur before the rivalry/hatred takes over!

Torres(liverpool)- versus- Bent (Tottenham)- versus- Eduardo(Arsenal) vs Tevez(Man utd-quite possible 8O )

Discuss! :D

Bent is a shithouse.

I'm glad we got Torres. Looks like Man Utd might make a swoop for Tevez, though I think they've already got a similar player in Rooney.

one more player to add to FGL's list:
Jan Molby ex-Liverpool

Oh, and to that bitter manc. 5 times.

AllenLeonidas : so you only started supporting them AFTER they won the treble? mind enlightening me on what you like about man utd?

bent is shit. no doubt he's a proven goal scorer at club level but he's a total flop on the international level. henry's a absolute bargain if you compare the two of them as players and also how much their new clubs paid for them.

man u dont need tevez. got similar players in rooney and the newly-acquired anderson. they need to get a goalscorer cos saha's always injured and smithy's looks like he's on the verge of leaving the club. man u should sell KIERAN RICHARDSON though.

bayern just bought two superb fowards - luca toni and miroslav klose.

Torres(liverpool)- overated

Bent (Tottenham)- overpaid

Eduardo(Arsenal) - it's OVER for EPL defenders!

Tevez(Man utd- over tired after Copa Cup

yeah....

Here are my predictions for the next season

Premiership

-Torres 14-16 goals

He will need a few months to get used to the tough-tackling and lack of space, but things should be better by January.I do believe that he will link up well with Alonso, and he could be the perfect foil for Kuyt.

-Bent 15-17 goals

He will be the 4th choice striker behind berbatov, keane, and maybe Defoe(if he does not leave spurs)and will not get as much time on the field. But I am sure that he will produce the goods if given half the chance.

-Eduardo 10-15 goals(Brazillian+Croatian= CRAZILLIAN)

Its a tough one for this player I feel. Although he was the top scorer for the Croatian league, I'm sure that the premiership is much more challenging that the former for him. He is also quite short but he does have good heading abilities but I fear that he can be easily marked out of the games. However I do believe that he will create space for the rest due to the runs he makes in the box and the rest of the arsenal attackers would benefit from this. I predict that he will excel during the winter months as he is very used to icy temperatures in Croatia and he may capitalise on that.He will have a moderate 1st season I believe :( .

-Tevez 12-18 goals(Man utd) 10-15 (WEST HAM)

I really do not know where he would fit in the Man UTD team, like someone mentioned, Rooney and him are very similiar, which means that they enjoy having a free rein on the front, and that would be quite weird if they were to play together as there would not be established focal points during attack. But Quality is Quality, and this dude has a lot of heart, I'm sure he will be played in a 4-3-3 in the middle, and he would be great there if Carlos manages to get him to keep his positional discipline. He would be a great signing imho.

Ok, this is my attempt to be objective.GUNNARZ 4EVA! :D

Torres(liverpool)- 5 GOALS

Bent (Tottenham)- 10 GOALS

Eduardo(Arsenal) - 47 GOALS!

Tevez(Man utd- 18 GOALS FOR REAL MADRID!

yeah, yeagh!

Walcott - My injury problems are behind me
"I would not say last season was a disappointment. There were a lot of positives and I think we have a really good chance [of challenging for the title this season]."
Theo Walcott in a confident mood

By Richard Clarke

Theo Walcott is raring to go for the new season.

The 18-year-old Arsenal attacker was hampered by a shoulder injury last term but, after successful surgery, he has returned early to pre-season training in order to prepare for the coming campaign.

Walcott visited Emirates Stadium on Thursday to celebrate the launch of Arsenal’s new white away kit. Before signing hundreds of autographs, he spoke exclusively to Arsenal TV Online about the shirt, his surgery and the season ahead.

“The shoulder is absolutely fine,” said the ex-Southampton player. “I have about 85 per cent of full movement at the moment but I have started training as normal. Myself and Robin van Persie started two weeks early.”

The injury certainly bothered Walcott last season. “Everyone could tell when it popped out I was in loads of pain,” he said. “It was not pleasant at all.

“Every time I got knocked it would pop out and it was always in my head. I tried to get it out but it was difficult. It was always stopping me from playing.”

Despite that, Walcott was relatively satisfied with the 2006-07 campaign.

“I thought it was quite a good season for me,” he said. “Being young at Arsenal and making so many starts was an achievement. The Carling Cup run was brilliant too.

“I thought I made a good start but after the shoulder started to pop out it went a little downhill. Hopefully I’ll be much better this season.”

get some theo, get some

ManU is like already the theatre of dreams... Hey not to forget abt it's history that the team died on the plane crash... and manage to do well despite the tragic...

Tevez is not really needed but he sure can be a winger for manu... cutting cross and stuffs... ManU needs defenders... not rubbish ppl like Rio Ferdinand or Vidic who often have errors...
John O'Shea is still respectable...

Hey Manu is a great team where players like cantona dwight yorke, sheringham, beckham and others sure made famous and not to forget andy cole too... So far ManU is not abt winning for the sake of winning... It's winning Naturally! yea...

no offence, but wth? man utd conceded 27 goals last season, for which they were joint-second with liverpool for least amount of goals conceded. this was down to man utd's solid back four and the experience of van der sar. rio ferdinand's technique and vidic's no-nonsense defending was the main reason for this. they were commanding in defence, dominant in the air. i play soccer, usually as a left wingback, and i know how important it is to have good, decisive centrebacks to lead the backline. and if you consider Rio Ferdinand and Vidic rubbish, then John O'shea is prolly better off rotting in the reserves aint it? there are other defenders who are way better than o'shea - wes brown, evra, neville, heinze, pique. o'shea is only good for his versatility and of course the winner in extra-time against LIVERPOOL, and that's about it.

maybe you only watched one match the whole season - when milan whacked man utd, that's why you think vidic and ferdinand are rubbish. but they were both rushed back from their respective injuries (groin strain for rio and dislocated shoulder for vidic, if i remember correctly), so they werent match fit. and if you watched the roma - man utd match, you would notice that o'shea got totally owned by mancini's pace and skill.

I do think Vidic is sometimes clumsy against pacy players though. And also I've noticed he tends to lose concentration without Rio by his side, for example the Milan match.

Think he should be better the coming season.

Man U is becoming a Dream Team

Rooney, Ronaldo, Nani, Anderson, Tevez, Scholes, Giggs, Hargreaves.

I can say one word ,
