i went down to swee lee a couple of days ago to check out some Ibanez's.

i happened to pass by an Ep LP den but wasn't much interested in it as i was surveyiing IBZ for the upcoming sale.

i realise that there alot of threads here but honestly im really excited and would rather do a post instead!

im interested in the EP LP ($800 B4 Sale)
its located at the far right near the Fenders.

can anyone shed some light on it whether it'll be a good buy or not pls???
as in the action, pups, tone, reliability and stuff like dat pls!!!

i really need ur help guys!
 
no bro i didnt. it didnt come to me den as i was surveying IBZs den! as i skeemed through some of the threads, im getting mixed reviews! im in need of serious help bro!

To those who own a Epi LP, pls shed some light if its a gd guitar or not pls! cos im on a tight budget, as for sale ive got abt %600 ++ to spare, im in a serious dilemma now! and will ther be another sale coming after tis tis year?

Epiphone got the most varation of reviews they got for their LPs..

Definitely, from what I saw 85% of the users of Epi LP says they are great.

65% of testers say they got bad QC.

Well this require the users to give the good points for the Epi LPs, coz I'm interested in it too lol.

im sorta abit relieved now! cos wat i was planning was,
since i hv a Samick JR, comes wif a floyd, i mite as well get one wif a fixed and was tinking abt IBZ, but den i was also secretly in love wif LPs. but Gibs LP would require me to sell my butt to buy one, why not gif a shot wif an Epi LP rite! well i guess i will go down to swee lee to survey it more!

hmm..is ur range of LP only wif epiphone?? how about other brand like Tokai..Burny...or Edwards...??

Then sure will be getting the Edwards.

Tokai , 1 ALC-45 bolt on LP ( Available in review section ) in Davis peninsula , $850

Edwards, this pal itachi here got it recently, $1200, I think 1 left also in davis. You may ask him for more info.

Burny, RLG-45 in Yamaha Plaza Singapura (Not sure if other yamaha has it )

well from the link u gave me, seems dat Epi LP and Tokai are more in favour! since now im more conviced, now the question boils down,

which one to get be it an Epi LP or Tokai LP ... which will be a better grab ?

MIK, MIJ or MIC ?

XJAPAN, are u refering to the Epiphone u mentioned to the Epi LP? And if u r refering it to the Epi LP, confirm meh now all MIC?

i mean im not trying to say ur wrong or wat, juz dat all tis while, although secretly in love wif LPs, i neva realy like pay attention from where the stock was coming from! don misunderstand me! :D

so i assume, frm the info dats been posted here so far, The Tokai MIK LP would be a better selection to the Epi LP MIC rite? correct me if im wrong pls!

and is there really any difference if its Bolt On of Set piece?

not all the epi lps in sweelee are mic, there might be some miks left, thats the main reason why theyre having the sale, to clear off the old stock, so if u want an mik, juz gotta check the back of every headstock

any imo mi experience with epi les pauls is that they got very muddy pickups

i have a Epi LP Classic with seymour duncans that sounds awesome. which was the main reason i bought it. however, no matter how hard i tried, i just couldnt get used to it. and i've been tryin to sell it but no luck. i really think u should try the guitar thoroughly for yrself to decide. budget is one thing. gettin the right guitar seems more impt to me. do not be influenced by a sale. my example is a gd one. i tot i had a great deal gettin the LP for 700 cos it came with a hardcase (100+ ), SD alnico pros ( 300+) n of course the LP ( 800+ ) BUT... if it doest feel good in yr hands, its worth nothing..
 
Angelmozart Budget is one thing. Gettin the right guitar seems more impt to me. do not be influenced by a sale. BUT... if it doest feel good in yr hands, its worth nothing.

Maybe not all got muddy pups? i mite be wrong though! den again if i like the epi LP @ swee lee and can get it, i guess i could do a pup swap!
