electronic drum kits

hi, i think if you really want a e-set badly, Roland is the one that gives you the best sounds and feel.. of course the roland td 20 is out of the picture as its really overpriced in Swee lee SG and seeing that swee lee is some scam crap, i'd advice you to buy online :) i got my td9 kv for 2k sgd and indeed i got what i paid for..every single cent was worth it...seriously, consider Roland mate :D

im gonna try out sum kits at my drum store :)

i already have an acoustic kit, but im not allowed to play past 9pm cos of the neighbours
+ i want to be able to record directly into my pc

roland are an option but i think id have to shell out much more money

I read some reviews that the Alesis DM6 is actually better than the DM5.

DM5 has the tom-like triggers, which gives a more realistic feel perhaps?
DM6 has the rubber pads, which you can go really silent in the late night (using headphones), as in your hits will be softer.

DM5 is still packaged with the old-time DM5 drum module.
DM6 has the newer controller, which is more user-friendly.

Retail price at Sinamex is $995, according to their published pricelist.

Hmmm, yet to try it out, but the DM6 looks good.:)

hi i have a e drums...not to mention the brand...

i suggest you must buy the best, cheap is good for your pocket only..
when you already using it and encounter problem then you will think of burning it or sell it, and buy again....lols..

i strongly recommend check every store and buy the best...cheers...

Hi Zhanchun,

Dependent on model, you should be paying something around $700-1000. Bought my second hand dd602 V2 kit at SG$300 (identical to Alesis DM5). The white coloured pads feel slightly more bouncy from the black Alesis ones (I've not tried the white pads from Alesis). The functions and sounds on the module is not the best but still, is great for practicing and jamming. Overall 2/5points.

Best,
Roy Lim.
