This is the first time I'm posting in the Drums section, after so many years of being on SOFT
The time has come when I feel like pushing my drumming to the next level - learning some advanced concepts on the skins, but I do realize the limitations of living in a HDB flat.
So, I'm looking at buying an electronic drum kit, and I'd essentially like to be able to hook it up to superior drummer 2.0 or other drum libraries, to play and eventually record more human sounding drum tracks.
Can anyone suggest a good e-drum kit, with a good feel overall? I'd like to have decent rebounds for the ghost notes etc and don't want a real flat sounding kit. It would be great if you can tell me where I can try/buy it too.
Features I'd like
1) MIDI support (must), with a good dynamic range - soft and hard hit velocities
2) Inbuilt sound module need not be great, going to hook it up to my comp anyway
3) I want to be able to use my own bass pedal and not an inbuilt trigger pedal
4) 2 crashes would be great, but not necessary
Budget <1.5k
Cheers!
