playing with reverse and slowing down tempo, pitch shift, even moaning sound of human or cat in heat can be evil as well.
throw in some delay and multiple panning with plenty reverb. Such manipulation can make a good backing track for any atmospheric music.

True. I used certain setting on my rack effect, combination of some modulations, and hell I got scared by my guitar sound. It sounds so...scary. Ok can laugh at my timidness now.

hehe, for some pseudo evil fun, for any music one might be recording, try putting those ultra high frequency pitch round 16khz onwards to 19khz in the background, put 3 trks, pan left, right(+80%, -80%) and center.
listen to the music loud enough. For those with sensitive ears, might get really agitated and uneasy, coz its evil music...
