I'm seriously thinking of buying this amp... Anyone have any comments? Feedback? Reviews?

Anyone here own one yet?

Good to hear that you're digging it... Too bad I didn't like it...
Sigh, so that I could end my quest for a nice amp... I guess the search continues!

I like the options of a 4 channel amp, with various wattage options and different gain stages per channel... cool sia... somemore using groove tubes... AND switchable to 6L6 if I want... Shiok!

Somemore the price is quite ok...

Yalar... But hard to find here lar... And I told you before I like ANOTHER amp... But that one really too expensive d... So bobian, need to settle for MK IV for now...

BTW, whitey...
I think you'll have better replies posting in the EBMM forums... Some of the guys there are using Egnator amps... I think Roburado is using a MOD50...

Problem is, Sinamex doesn't bring in the Mod50 amps, and they're meant only for US distribution... nevermind lah... the Tourmaster 4212 is enough for me to drool over...

But Simon says...
He can bring any Egnator amp in if a customer wants?

Why the MOD 50 isn't available here?

Voltage. I asked Sinamex. They said the Mod50 isn't meant for distribution outside USA, and they don't plan to build it to fit external voltages for now.

Here's the e-mail quote:

"We have spoken to Egnater in regards to bringing this Amplifier to Singapore... and I'm sorry to say the news is not good... It is available in America only.

There aew a few reasons why, but the main reason being it is not built to take our power (220 volts), and at this stage, they have no intention of making it

Not sure how correct the information from the dealer may be (and this is not to imply that the dealer is purposely giving the wrong info).

I had the option of my US dealer arranging the 230v Mod50 for me. This was to be my amp till I changed my order for the M4 preamp.

My M4 Egnater preamp then came from the same US dealer and has been set to accept Singapore voltage per my request.

Thats just nonsense from Sinamex. I have asked before and was on the verge of buying many times. The egnater mod50 can easily be adjusted for various different voltages via a switch at the back. It has an international voltage selector for different countries last time i check. Just look for pictures of the back of the amp. The modular stuff he makes are designed like that, thats why the Randall modular is also capable of world voltage selection.

I was quoted only a 3-4 week wait for my order via Indoor Storm with the voltage already set to 230v.

Always a shop to know less about products than their consumers.

I'm not surprised, it's happened to me before too.

Well on the flipside...they finally have a proper amp in store to test guitars with.

I remember how the guy there told me to try a EBMM Luke through an acoustic PA amp.

BEST.

Killer tone and sustain for days I'm sure.

Oh well, at least I do like the 4212... I'd prefer to be able to try as well the Mod50, but if the Tourmaster fits my needs, thenI guess I don't have to keep looking. Just have to go try it enough to ensure...
