elevated heart rate and stamina are rather different things.

your heart rate increases when you are on stage because of the exhilaration too- Slash's heart rate goes so high on stage, according to his autobiography, that it resets the machine in his heart that regulates his heartbeat.

I doubt he can play a premiership soccer match for 90 minutes. But yes, playing a 1.5hr set a night is very tiring business. Hats off, professional touring musicians!

PS: My drummer Boon plays tonnes of soccer and does 2.4km in about 10 minutes, but he always has to take breaks while jamming because he goes so hard and fast. Interesting eh!

After 3hours of non-stop jamming, I always end up very very hungry. I will need to eat a lot right after the jamming session lol.

Maybe because drumming burns up a lot of energy?
