Drug Laws

Say no to drugs

As long as you're tested positive for drugs, be it taken in Africa or on a spaceship, you'll still get screwed by the police. And all junkies better install window grilles..and.. quit of course.

A few wks ago, got a CNB person came to talk in my sch abt it.Consumed overseas, if come back and get tested positive, even in places where legal, too bad.

But don't talk about the Nguyen case I am pissed about it. The Gov just hangs / canes people without considering. Michael Fay merely vandalised stuff. He didn't kill anyone. PRESIDENT OF USA requested not to cane. but they still did.

and the hang that guy. kena caught, ok la. sentence to life without parole la. Why must hang him? he is hellping his brother clear debts. even if its wrong, he WAS caught, and deeply regretful. once again, the president requested for clemency. but they give it? NO!

spinofdoom: you got to understand the govt's point of view too. given singapore's size, we cannot afford to have junkies around. i am personally against the death penalty. but if you take into account the amount of lives a drug trafficker may ruin, that is reason enough for a severe penalty. what's more, nguyen had a huge amount of heroin on him. not lsd, not weed, HEROIN.

in this case, the government decided to take a firm stand on it's laws and policies. if not, the people may take its laws lightly and all assume they would be dealt with leniently. the death penalty is known to all. nguyen knew that and decided to take a risk. he had a choice.

i just feel that you tend to bash the government blindly without considering the matter properly

spinofdoom:

ah yes, doing what Singaporeans are the best at, complaining. Not that I don't agree with you. The best thing you can do right now, is to leave Singapore and compound their brain drain issue. Due to the fact that I disagree with our government on a few issues. I will be leaving, in a matter of time, makes more sense than staying here and complaining and getting dissed for it right? So while you're still here, for your own personal safety (and I won't say this again for my own personal safety), try to be nice. This country doesn't take too well to upstarts.

Does this apply to other laws? For example, if I watched a porno movie overseas could I be charged when I return to Singapore? What about if I went to a nude beach overseas?

So silly.

^Well, quite a few countries now have enacted laws to prosecute paedophiles even if the offences are committed outside the country. You cannot argue by over-stretching the premise of a perfectly sound law.

^ Yeah but paedophilia is a crime that has a victim.

Watching porn, smoking Weed and swimming naked are victimless crimes. The reason they are illegal in some places but no others is more to do with social norms than considerations public or personal safety and security.

I love porn, will love weed someday (I think) and definitely love swimming naked.
smooth criminal ^^

Why are all the best things in life illegal? :(

Why do drugs man.. it'll screw up ur life..
If u love music, u dun need drugs to get in the mood..
Just play music ..

and ya.. our drug laws are very powerful and strict as well. No matter where u consume it, u can be liable for punishment. Not worth it..

And to those who complain of why cannot do this, why cannot do that.. well it's the way here in Singapore. U break the law, u have to face the consequences. So, if u complain and defy, it wont do u any good too.
