Dropped my guitar on the floor

hi all, as stated on the title.. i dropped my electric guitar on the floor, head went down 1st leaving a slight dent on the head. guitar went out of tune after tht but i tuned it back liao la... will anything happen to the elements inside the guitar? it's my 1st electic guitar thus a bit concern... need to bring the guitar to a 'doctor' for a check up?

there's no need for a doctor if you feel like everything is alright
and there's no need to be so enthusiastic about the fall.
if you play the guitar and it sounds right, then theres nothing wrong with it.
just take good care of it.

i doubt anything serious. but since you said it went out of tune, that's probably the worst that can happen.

unless you're talking about the dent. how bad is it?

well depending on the quality of the build, the electronics may or may not be intact, just test em. what you should be worried about is the neck heel if it dropped neck first. actually, you might just wanna check the entire neck for breakages. *the headstock of my maestro acoustic broke off once, bummer*

No, the things inside are not the main concern.

but you will have to check for any Cracks. chances are the Neck joint has already been cracked.

do check the headstock for any neck cracks as well.

i am sure its gonna be okay...
nothing is more heart breaking than your guitar falling off the stand
my sg came falling off the stand last chrismas when my cousins were over and tripped over the guitar cable....
landed the same way as you...frets were farked....had to refret the whole guitar...
not a wise decision..but what the hack....

maybe your neck isnt as stright as before...

your neck could have warped somehow,since it fell headfirst

I think it would be best to send the guitar for a check at a guitar repair shop. There may be some problems regarding tuning machines and the neck profile.

As far as I know, Beez does diagnostics for free. His shop is located at Roxy Sqaure opposite Parkway Parade.
