Drop in replacement for original floyd rose bridge

No misunderstanding lah...

Just that I'm totally against blocking a trem... the OFR is a beautiful thing that should keep tuning under the most demanding conditions. You usually don't have to unlock the locking nut for a week or more, just use the fine tuners.

So yeah... better sell the guitar and get a fixed bridge lah... heh.

HEH. Speaking of which. I TRIED THE RG321MH TODAY. SEDDAAPPP!!! It's gonna be my next axe man. Damnit I just love it. The sound, the feel, the looks, the price, everything. *drool* But I prolly won't sell my Fender, will keep it as a collection. Haha.. Oh yeah I got the SD-1 today too. Can't really try now cos it's late already can't crank up the amp to hear properly, but so far I can't get the same chugga as compared to my fx-100, and as a solo boost it sounds... weird. Maybe I'm not used to it. I'll have to try them out loud tomorrow to hear properly. But I did manage to notice that it's voicing is very different compared to my fx-100 and the gain is much less. A lot of bass is cut from the sd-1, and there's slightly more mids in comparison.

Btw, do you have msn?

The RG321MH is sweet man... very nice... with a good price to boot!

Well, just use the SD1 as an extra gain stage or boost. Not as standalone distortion.. it will not do metal or even heavy rock. Not even rock IMO.

And to get rid of the bass cut and stuff, you got to have it modded. Its a shortcoming of the SD-1

I meant as a boost la. I put it with my FX-100 and switch between them with my DS-1 on to play around.

Modded ah. Aii..

THATS THE SPIRIT!!! FULL FLOATING ALL THE WAY!!!

Just don't ever break a string.

I'm still a tremsetter fan. I only lose the flutter effect, something i don't do at all. For the tuning stability and the slightly stiffer trem, it's a trade off which is pretty worth it to me hehe.

Btw, Vai has a tremsetter in Evo

Hmmm.... yah ... true... too bad I flutter all the time. ;)

And Vai has the discontinued Ibanez backstop system... something that's better than the tremstop or so, I've read....
