heya people. im interested to get one of the double pedals... but am kinda tight on budgets. any recommendation and pricing?

and wad is the cheapest price for the iron cobras?
thanks a mil.

heh... anyway, ive only owned 1 dbl pedal till now. so cant really compared it to anything else. from wat ive read at diff drum forums, DW dbl pedals break easily. it all depends on yer playing style i guess. the easy breaks on the DW pedal boards are due to the construction. iron cobras have a few vertical struts/ridges along the underneath of the pedal board. tho this differs from brand to brand. most drummers dat compared it between DW, Pearl, Tama or Yamaha. they found dat DW has juz 1 srtu/ridge (or non at all, cant remember la)
other den dat, i like the versatility of my iron cobra, can change lots of the settings.

perhaps someone else will come along shortly and give his opinions
my 2 cents

The pearl eliminators are really good. Pricings also very reasonable, 450. That was few months ago, should have depreciated by now..

The pedals are fully customizeable, from the action's to the spring tention.. you can customise the pedals to your every need man. the beater head, the better position. the weights..

Iron cobras are really good pedals when it comes to feel and duribility.. I personally like the iron cobra feel compared to other pedals from Dw's pasific yamaha pedals.. But the iron cobra looses out in terms of customization to the pearl eliminators..

The ability to change your action, empowers you with alot options.. you get exactly what your looking..

Carpe Diem

i see. so for a big guy like me with a big foot, i presume i should avoid dw pedals huh.

so still presuming iron cobras are so far the best bet... but wad is the cheapest price? and how about pearl?

Haha.... if you playing punk, I think just get those under $200 bucks kind will do.

Cheapest is Carlos, heavy, dob chain and very cheap bout $150. But outta stock now. Next is Lazer, more sensitive but single chain only, still below $200.

my opinion.. Ive both played on the iron cobra's and the pearl eliminators.. If you got extra cash in hand.. get the cobras.. if you going for something thats moderately priced go for eliminators..

pearl eliminators 2nd best pedals ive ever used.

so technically iron cobras still the best option huh. does anyone knows the official website for carlos? cant seem to find it.

another thing is, how much do you think a 2nd hand iron cobra should be around? guess i gotta hunt 2nd hand.

not to be biased.. there are drummers who swear by DW, Pearl or Yamaha.. choose that fits u best... actually i've used yamaha pedals for quite some time before changing to iron cobra. i quite like the feel of yamaha.. and thought of giving iron cobra a try because of the good reviews. used it..tension looser than the yamaha.. but i like the feel better.. techniques work better there..

if u can find iron cobra 2nd hand, u r quite lucky. i've not come across iron cobra 2nd hand. only iron cobra jr(beats me, i dunno what's that also)...
just a remark: who in the right mind will sell their iron cobras?!! :p
