Hi folks,

I've been ignoring this for a while and just got fed up enough to post this here. I often get this message while trying to access thegearpage. Trying to read this is a real pain!
"Your IP Address = xxx.xxx.x.xxx
You have been denied access to this forum. The reason is that you are visiting us from a place that has been blacklisted as an Open Proxy. It is a security enhancement we have implemented to help us fight spammers and people who circumvent bans.

If you do not believe that you are using an anonymizing service, click on this link for instructions on how to get your IP removed from the blacklist. If your IP is not blacklisted, and let us know your IP as determined by that site ("You are on XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX") and we will look into it. Sorry about any inconvenience."
Anyone else here have this problem and how do I get myself off the list?

Happy New Year!

it's something about Singapore's ISPs assigning Dynamic IP addresses to us users. in other words, our IP addresses change all the time.

I'm having that problem for about 5 months now. All i do is click the refresh button two times consecutively and it's working again.

One night, I think I refreshed the page for over 30mins. Still had that damn error. That was the worst ever man.

We have to live with it I guess..

What ISP are you guys on? I am on Starhub and have no issues so far with TGP.

@O: Errrr, contact him and ask him to take you off the blacklist?

Yeah. I've never done 30mins before but have tried refreshing 30 times with no luck. I realised sometimes you need to click a few times quickly in succession for it to work. But of course that could be luck as well.

It real frustrating when you are surfing ahppily and suddenly you get that error message.

Can someone confirm that contact the gearpage admin works to resolve the problems we guys have.

Thanks all.

yes i've emailed Scott with my IP address, he did something, and the problem is not totally gone, but occurs much less frequently now.
