Do you remember Singapore Team in 1994?

!!

Hahah. Yeahhh. I think Abbas was never a Singaporean. He played for Australia a few time in the qualifying rounds. Though you've gotta know that the 'Singapore' team back then, wasn't a national team, but, a club. So yeah. Hahah

And yeah, he was involved in some match-fixing schemes that led him to leave the team.

I still remember the bicycle kick goal Sundram socred against Brunei. That was the best singpore team goal I ever saw! :

Talking about the 1994 Dream Team - all thanks to Douglas Moore, do you guys remember that just a year earlier in 1993 (led by PN SIVAJI) they also manage to get into the final before losing to Kedah? That too was called THE DREAM TEAM except that the team still have to dream of the Malaysia Cup Trophy... And remember the song 'Dream Team' for 1993 before 1994 'Hey Ho Hey Hey Ho'?

Come on everybody feel the power
You can feel the steam it's the dream team
Oh-oh yeah-yeah

Those were my childhood haha

By the way I forgot to mention this as we talk about 1994 Singaore Dream Team...

Let's pray for one of the GREAT heroes of that triumph:
THE LATE BORHAN ABU SAMAH...

MAY GOD BLESS HIS SOUL

These are the guys who made local soccer big. Something that you look forward to everytime we turn on the tv... live matches and stuffs. Still remember I had to lie to my parents about studying at my friend's place when my arse was at the stadium. LOL!

Commercialising soccer here, *shake head* ... Dream Team indeed ... everyday dream.

DD

You're right DD... They are the ones that really make us worth to waste our time sitting in a stadium... We were willing to spare some cash just to buy Fand Ahmad's autobiography, Abbas Saad's autobiography and the GOAL!!! magazine... They too introduce me to buy THE NEW PAPER

Gosh tht vid brought back memories...And dun forget our opponents with ppl like John Hunter, (always known as the bogay guy) Alan Davidson, Zainal Abidin, Olobumi Adigun etc.

Kedah,Pahang,Selangor and Sarawak were the arch rivals. Singapore was always considered the underdog against them. A win against any of these is highly celebrated
