Of course i restring it myself, i want to see just 2 winds around the bloody nut for the bass strings, shops regularly wind around like, 5 or 6 times!

the FR/ other floating bridge models should be a learning point for guitarists, it should not be seen as a bane.

if you are considering its application in light of your use, then some of us here might not need it. let's not paint a picture to the new players out there that this bridge type should be avoided at all cost. yes, it's a hassle when t comes to re-stringing but that's the nature of its being.

about floyds... i think i will never touch them til i learn to love whamming my whammy. i dont even use it on my strat..
i actually find normal re-stringing troublesome enough, considering that when you first restring you gotta let the strings settle and get slightly stretched over a period of 1 or 2 days. if not at every slight bend it gets off tune already..

Seriously only someone who has too much money to spend, and has lots of spare time and energy to bring down the guitar to the shop will do it.

Otherwise It should be easier to just change it yourself. Takes less than an hour for any type of guitar
