do the musicians who like to move alot on stage use straplocks?

I need them straplocks, or my guitar would be pretty lethal if it flew off, its kinda heavy. Think les paul weight and throw in a pointy end or two.

50 cent locks.

Cheap and fail proof.

Using Dunlop ones man.. I think.. Can't remember cause its darn long ago since I bought it..
Bought cause my SGs have the tendency to neck dive.. And during a performance once, the strap came off.. Had to place my leg on the amp and complete the rest of the song in that position.. Went to buy straplocks almost immediately after that!

Had a bad experience with my les paul, it dropped on my foot after the strap gave way. And yeah... Got a bloody big toe after that, i meant literally bloody and big haha so for les paul users definitely needs a strap lock, or at least a clip lock.

Then I wud recommend Schaller strap locks - they have never let me down before unlike other brands ...man last thing U need is a strap lock failing and ur axe falling during ur set

ahah eh im thinking of getting something like yours. but i dont have a drill or the confidence to do diy t.t

Try to look for these kinda strap locks... No drilling needed... And darn cheap! Around SGD2...
But if you're strap pin is too big (ie. Ibanez), you'll need to take out your pin and wedge it between the pin and body...

hmm i agree wif Rossie... get the twist and tighten straplocks... saves you the problem of drilling... I'm using the Dunlop Ergo lok.

I use the straplocks just in case my strap slips out from the strap button... happen once while i'm playing, managed to hold on to my guitar before it drop to the ground... So I think whether you move around or swings your guitar... It's always better to have some preventive measures... :P

i'm using e ergo loks now, coz i had a set of dunlop straploks and went through the whole process of changin the pin screws only to find that mi previous screw threading was bigger than the dunlops, so i juz screwed e original screw back in and got e ergos

e ergos serve their purpose, only gripes are that i can't easily remove mi strap like the straploks(esp ppl who are very anal abt having scratches on their guitar), and i dun trust e plastic to hold if i should go for a swing =)

how much doe one cost you roughly?

Just need to take a toothpick- preferably one made of old wood, > than 200 years, for tone - and place it into the strap hole in the guitar. Then screw in with the smaller dunlop screw. That will hold.

If you aren't confident it will, dilute some superglue in water and soak said toothpick in it then put it into the hole. Or drop a drop of superglue. Then screw in.
