Discussion on Auditions/Access for performing Gigs!!!

Out there. all over mainland singapore.
we've got many unknown talents and many good local bands (punk rock,metal, indie and etc) who want to share their music with everyone. performing and gigging. but first of all.

how to we get to help these ppl?

any portals for submit applications?

we need to go for auditions?

any organisations that take in bands to perform?

for eg. like tapestry,rock for good, youth gone wild, and many other gigs.

How do ppl get such connections to perform?

I'm sure there are lots of softies and ppl out there who need that help.
It'll definitely boom our local music scene.

it'll be definitely i win win situation.. helping to play for organisers who organise gigs.. and bands get to share their music with people and finally with both it'll promote the local music scene.

i cant wait till all singaporeans are willing and daring to sing, shout along, headbang, mosh and let it all loose. haha.

the best way is to record a decent demo and let everyone listen. if it is good, people will help to promote you to the right people.

hmm..gd post here...maybe some organizers here can tell us what kind of 'conditions' is needed from a band when they wish to perform for a gig or an event...? cos i think theres alot bands out there r really tryin hard to find a place to perform their music but got no chance to do so...

but i guess if its a paying gig, have to be really good la. im looking for non-paying types or charity types- as we're not that good. yet.
