Dimarzio strap lock Screw issues

Hi guys.
i was installing the screws that came with the straplock , i managed to screw one of the side.
then the another of the guitar i have issues screwing them fully. so i used back my LTD Screw for one side without having any problem, so my question : is it alright to use my LTD screw for the straplock or its not safe to use em?

as long as its secure I dont see why not.

the dimarzio screws are longer and thicker. hence more effort is required to screw it in all the way.

this might sound rude but.... screw harder. you'll get it all the way in eventually.

P.S. use the right screwdriver with the best fitting head for the job, no point wearing the screw off.
