Digital next big step... *Rumour*

lets start praying the price is an affordable and reasonable one

Pray hard guys......

have to admit though, this has got to be one of the most aggressive marketing strategy i have seen so far on any particular amp... talk about suspense....

I love the possibilities of Digital technology but also hold high regard for analog n Tube technology. Each has it's strenghts and weakness... The right tool for the right musical application is really what matters I feel.

Here's an anology for you... Digital Photography is pretty gud these days and will get better but will never surpass film based photography. What's really interesting was that in the distant past when photography was invented there was much debate about the continued relevance for painting. Today, Photography and Painting coexist both commrcially and artistically...there's no longer the relavance of comparison in which is better anymore.

Bring it on I say, to each his own. :)

From HC Forum Thread:

Our Line 6 rep was in the shop yesterday, said he played the Spider Valve 3 weeks ago. Said is basically a Spider III but with a Bogner tube pre and power section. This guy has several great amps (Mark IV, Recto, JCM 800, etc.) and says the Line 6 blows them all away.(of course he reps the company so...) Release date in the US is September 29th and the price will be $699. This is for the 40 watt 1x12 combo, soon to be followed by a 100 watt head.

Cool thing he mentioned, there is an additional input on the rear of the amp to bypass the Spider and go all tube Bogner.
