Did BOSS prices went up skyrocket ?

I was at a reputable shop yesterday to buy some accessories and happen to browse through a range of BOSS guitar effects. I remember getting them at less than $300 many years ago for a BOSS Bass EQ and BOSS Bass distortion. IIRC, it was something like $250 after some bargaining.

However yesterday I notice that none of the BOSS effects was less than $200 per piece.. !!

Either I am out of touch with the world, or BOSS did increased their price so much after all these years !

What happened ? Or am I wrong ? Maybe I got a huge bargain many years back ?

Maybe swee lee jacked up the price more.. stuff like the CS-3, BD-2, DS-1 and many others are +- $100 at stores like SV for e.g.

If you refering to Swee Lee, the price tag is usually the not price they'll sell you - it should be lower. Do ask the staffs regarding the Boss pedal actual price.

Very interesting if they put up a ridiculous price tag and then hold a big discount for them ! LPPL leh..
Those who are not aware of the "usual" price will think they got a big bargain. Those who know the real price probably willgo elsewhere.

Sweelee has this funny pricing mentality: for BOSS products, take note, i said BOSS products, you need to apply a 40% discount on their price tag. That's it. Sweelee just wanted to have it this way, it's been many years that they insisted on having this.

just go online order from japan thru rakuten borderless. boss, along with a truckload of brands, is so damn cheap there.

actually it's relatively easy to order stuff from the states. i get all my stuff from places like tonefactor and PGS. used to buy used stuff from ishibashi japan, before they decided to shut their doors (partially) to foreigners.
