Well I didn't post this topic for people to cuss and say bad things so please if you are going to do that go somewhere else. I think that Demi is a really good role model and has a good voice. My fav song from her is LaLa Land.

Why can't some people be glad that they found someone, famous to boot, who likes their genre of music? Whether this famous someone is a TRUE and KVLT metal fan is besides the point. Point is, they are happy to find a fellow metal brethren who they can identify with. And honestly, if I find out someone next to me, or a colleague of mine for that matter, listens to metal, I would also exclaim elatedly, "Wah! You listen to metal?!" (and then perhaps, depending on his/her depth of engagement and knowledge in metal, engage him/her in a discourse about metal music in general.)

And normally such exclamations are based on instinct and how often do our instinctive reactions or impressions rely on a thorough, critical and well-informed thought process?

So let them go "Wah, so and so listens to metal!" There's no need for us to be irked by such reactions. Such exclamation is not even detrimental to development of metal music.

If we are still continually irked by such responses, perhaps we are one of those people who believe that music must remain exclusive to a specific cabal of supposedly true fanatics of that particular genre of music.
