the dl4 also can do round 22 sec lah. Thats a half speed and normal speed mode... half speed mode, you can loop longer. Its not really mentioned in the manual, but anyone who spend sometime on the pedal prolly will find out. Theres lotsa tricks can be done to vary the looping/overdubbing between this half speed mode, normal speed, reverse in half speed, reverse in normal speed while overdubbing and looping over the different layers etc.
the interesting about dl4 is that the looping features with the footswitches are lay out similarly to most other dedicated loopers and the features(normal speed, half speed, reverse etc) are typical of bigger looper.
the layout of the stompswitches on the front panel is as simple as it get, to do looping in straightforward way. The other thing is that the knobs of the whole pedal is as easy one can get, to tweak the hell outta the pedal, without scrolling thru patches, looking thru digital display.
Additonal thing is that anyone into playing with oscillation and different sounds(squeal, blips, beeps etc), the dl4 has some really usuable noise by itself or when use with feedback looper.
The reliability issue usually with the stompswitches of those line 6 modellers. The construction of it most prolly the cause. If anyone open up the thing, underneath the stompswitch is a tiny spring attached to a black kolour pad to activate the effect. Imagine the weight of our feet on the stompswitch and over long period of time...My lasted for couple years before it start to act funny, especially the first switch. Thanks to Randolf, aka embryo, who provide some mods to improve the sound and reliability of the pedal, my dl4 prolly can last for more abuse..
imho
