This is a us-based shop I found that ships to SG and accepts paypal payment.

Not bad, decent prices, very clear description of the cymbals, and sound files too.

I'm not saying this is great or anyone should go for it, just highlight another avenue for SG drummers when it comes to cymbals.

Cheers

not very good to order cymbals through the internet. they dump and thrash the cymbals everywhere. best to get from your local stores or get them to ship it in

I had bought one of my cymbals from ebay, and the seller did a great job in ensuring the the cymbal is packed in bubble packs and the box is filled with lots of small styroform bits to cushion to cymbal from knocks. I think any seller will do their best to ensure that the cymbal is well protected from abuse during transportation.

Well it mite be different for those who actually HAVE experience wif it. I've bought cymbals and hardwares from Ebay retailers and they all turn out fine. Like Iggy said, every seller will do their best...

they ship it in as a bulk under a company name.

And that makes the mail service less likely to "dump and thrash the cymbals everywhere"? Under "company name" does not give you greater care from the person/mail service handling your package/order.

Like some guys said, the key is this - experienced sellers will know how to pack well. :P

it is used.. and still it got at least 50% from the original price. so... i think its worth it since u have used it and considering its condition.

I see it in a different perspective... see as the value of gold perspective. The usage and the appearance except for crack are incidentals... what is fundamental is the voice of the cymbal... so when you sell gold, it is the value of it... so cymbals like hand hammered type should be sold in this way... even more so when no two hand hammered cymbals sound alike. If you like the sound, pay the price...

So if I want to sell my cymbals, I will sell them at the price I last bought and even higher if it has become a collector's item. For example, I am considering selling Paiste Alpha 16" crash which I bought 10 years ago for $130. It has the old Alpha logo which means it can become a collector's item. So it will be priced at $160. Who will buy it? Knowledgable drummers who know their stuff... because I trust them to treat cymbals with respect....

Hmm, interesting. Could you elaborate on how the old alpha logo differs from the new one? Looks similar to me.
