Custom Paint Jobs

Hi fellow kind people,

I have a black fender stratocaster and i was hoping to find someone competent enough to do small paint jobs such as racing stripes, small paint works or even a whole van halen one.

Anyone in Singapore that you all can recommend or think can do the job well?

Hope to hear from you all soon.

Thanks. :)

Aye. Thanks! Cost is not an issue as long as it's reasonably priced. I just want a quality job done here.

Anyone done paint jobs at those 2 places?

And any idea if Gr3y custom shop is still in business? :(

gr3y's not taking up jobs since i long long time ago.. anw if it's gc their pricing is rather "unstable" at times

Sigh. Thanks guys for the replies. It's so hard to find a decent place to get this job done..

Guitar connection really is the best place for a custom paint job. do note that a regular paint job can cost you $300 at least let alone a custom one.

it is rather unfortunate for people to consider gc's pricing to be "unstable" when the magnitude of the job required to be done is different. a guitar that is going to be sprayed sunburst is definitely going to cost more than a guitar that is going to be sprayed in a solid colour.

the guys at gc are really good. don't believe I can head down there, get Kelvin's permission to take a few pictures of his works and show them to you guys here. yes, I put that much trust in their work.

I assure you:
- The paint job is evenly done.
- The paint is dry before it reaches your hands
- They are the only people who can do a good sunburst finish.
- They can do hand painted guitars (at a hefty price because it's done by some contracted artist AFAIK)

how custom you want it to be, chances are they can do it. I consider Kelvin the master of refinishing for a good reason or two.

Relinquish69 : Thanks for sharing! I will most prolly head down to GC this weekend then. I would appreciate it if you can snap a few photos of their works. I'm keen to take a look.

Imkieth: Cash aint a problem if it's a good job done. Haha.

Thanks people!

sure no problem but head down with a strong heart cos some custom jobs are really quite expensive. in the meantime I'll just a snap a few pictures of their works but pricing I can't quote for them cos I don't work for them.

Ahh. Haven't heard of guitarworkshop. On the same level as sweelee yes? I will check them out too!

Thanks guys.:D

relinquish69: Thanks, hope it's not too much trouble. :)

Yup same level. I personally feel that GW has good costumer service and well priced. overhauled some of my guitars wirings there and they are the one who fixed my LP when the strap button broke off.

I was at bras basah in the evening. I will keep my options open for the week. :) No rush relinquish!

reez_rock: Glad to hear some good reviews from them! Thanks!
