Custom made keyboard

This may or may not turn out to be just a dream. But since we can hardly find the "ultimate" keyboard, anyone actually thought of building it from scratch?

In this regard, does anyone know where to get OEM weighted and unweighted keys so we can build them? I know Doepfer has some OEM parts but I'm not sure if they have OEM keys.

Next question: if you can build your own keyboard, what would you put into it?

CME manufactures OEM keys.

synthesizer.com is the closest we have now to a custom synth.

my custom board would be a double manual 76 key with synth action keys. ROMpler and built in VSTi-loading software.

synthesizer.com links my to Waves website. (??)

CME keys come from GEM, I believe. I know Fatar also supply keys to other manufacturers. But they don't sell OEM individually to consumers.

VSTi-loading software - if you can somehow build MUSE into the keyboard, it will work. Otherwise, MIKO is the smallest and most powerful PC/controller. We need to somehow take these things apart and build them into a keyboard. It's not impossible.
