About time we had a practice amp that gives a nice thumping. Saw this amp at Yamaha Tampines and was pretty excited. Saw it online on Crate's site some time back and was really interested in the 15 watts 12" speaker design.
the speaker delivers as its size should. Definetely more low end thump compared to standard 15 watt 8 inch speaker amps. I like the tone of both channels, and the EQ feels pretty responsive, possibly cus the speaker can handle a wider range of frequencies. Reverb does as it should too. but tone is subjective so do try it urself.
Pretty good amp for $220 I'd say. Haven't tried it with pedals so no comment on that. Its got a speaker out (what for? 15 watts to drive a 4X12 ah?) and only 1 tone stack so that's a slight bum.
