Cosmetic Fix for Instruments

I have a vintage synth that i want to use for performance. However it has a lot of scratches on the surface which kinda look ugly. I want to get a repaint or cosmetic fix for it so that at least it will looks good on the stage. If possible change the colour of the synth.

Anyone knows where i can do that in sg?

can try to diy... if u don't really care about resale value (since its already so bad), can buy some multi purpose spray cans and do by urself...

a simple trick is to use duct tape and tape the parts where u don't want coloured, then spray across evenly...

then let dry and remove duct tape... then same thing, duct tape again and use diff colour spary...

requires some effort but at least u get exactly what u want though

MadWereWolfBoy is very correct i thot of diying my own keyboard but heaven thot of a good design yet... HOWEVER i very wanted to make my nord lead 3 to have black keys on the white keys and white keys on the black keys.

hmmm im just curious thou is it possible that sg has ani shops that could help grade ur keys?

what i mean is like graded 61 keys or 47 keys.

You won't find any graded 61 or 76 keys. It doesn't make sense to have graded keys with anything less than 88.

EVen though grading is difficult, there are weighted keys which are less than 88. The only ones I know are from Fatar.

The other way is DIY - from Doepfer. Not cheap - but you can customize your own keyboard.

As for reversing the black and white keys, the only ones I know (ie besides harpsichords) are the CME keyboards. There may be others, but I haven't seen them yet.

Ha ha i cant trust myself to do any DIY on the Synth...esp since i never done any spray painting.

Anyone knows where can i do this ... perhaps add some artwork to the synth and makes it look real good on stage ... maybe some kinda custom painting workshop or smth

hmmm i bet many guitar technicians would be able to d.i.y ur keyboard for you. but if you really want a design that you like maybe you can draw it out and give it to them?

cos im very sure these guitar technicians have to spray paint their customer guitar also . get an experience one to do for you . just a thought :D

thanks for the advice .. I just got an luthier from Indo willing paint my moog synth.

But, reverse keys sounded cool. wonder where i get that done.
