if by now you have not made any achievement, means you are way too late for that. You might want to choose the toto path to get your million :P

I don't know your age. But to be in that caliber, you need to achieve lots medal and cups already even before you start learning browsing internet and lingering at forum like you do :D

Heck, those ping-pong girls might already had beaten all her older peers even before going to primary school :D

Yep ... SG is the place to get rich .... using ur skill or by sheer luck - as the bangla cleaner who won the toto SGD $5 MIL ... ( A FEW YEARS BACK) WILL TESTIFY ...

ok my comment on this one is:
Singaporeans should no see which nation people from or their colour.
Though i know alot people arent stereotype
Anyways the table tennis match really was intesive i couldnt really decide who was winning
It was a weird match getting even score alot of times lol

bascially,it was just china VS china..
quite sad to see that there are no LOCAL talent here and we have to get foreign talent to represent us....tsk tsk

Yup china won both silver and gold. LoL.
We're just pseudo china, look at our flag...
We're half red and got 5 stars in similar fashion as well! LoL
Does the red represent authoritarian? Or is it the stars?
Oh might be the red, cos our flag only half red.
So it means our authoritarian gov operates under the veil of democrazy
or maybe it means our authoritarian gov operates OVER the veil of democrazy

We shoud start thinking of ourselves as
affluent chinese people outside of china.
Give it ten years and you probably can't
tell the difference between the chinese
that came from china now and the chinese
that came from 50 years back

why do you type stuff out like a poem?
it's really weird to read brah
prose before hoes

singapore government always have this thinking...if our own local singaporeans cant do the job for us, might as well ask somebody else, pay them abit more money and do the job for us...oh well, the 3 ladies from the table tennis team are 750K more richer den all of us right now...:)

Its like foreign talent in the soccer leauges, just on national level. Stop complaining already man.

We are not willing to go full time into sports, how can we expect a local talent to win? We are making things hard for ourselves if we did that. Now with the sports school the chance is slightly higher, we are slowly improving.

When you migrate out of singapore, to aus/usa etc. and do your employers there proud, isnt it the same as what the table tennis team did? Just that in sports everyone wants local talent. In corporate world as long as you get the job done they take you in even if you are from the darkest corner of the world.

English Premiere league have plenty of foreign talents, but does that translate into England's football squad? Does Spain as well?

And I'm sure some of us won't mind going full time into sports if the goverment can work on something that assures local sportsmen of long term stability after injury or early retirement. Who wouldn't want 1m bucks, man? Just need to train damn hard enough to be damn good enough to win gold medal.

Any parent willing to risk their child for that dream to happen? No? So then look into why is it such and offer proper solutions that can assure parents that the child's future is not at stake.
