Choosin guitar for playin METAL

U can use EMG 81s or if u prefer passive systems, use DiMarzio X2N. A good metal guitar shld come equipped with FR preferably and FRs to get wld be Schallers, Gotohs, Ibanez EDGE series, Ibanez ZR or of course Original American FRs. PU combi wld preferably be H-H or H-S-H but of course, any type wld do. Jus some reccomendations thats all. Its not everyone's opinion, jus my 2 cents worth. Btw, LTDs or ESPs are great metal guitars. Happy hunting!

although EMGs are now synonymous with metal, it's not exclusive. my favourite guitar for metal is equipped with passive pickups & sports an H-S combination...

u could go check out da ltd 50 series guitars at Davis
380 for da 50 series
those guitars r fine themselves
if u wan more power
slot sum emgs in
tt shuld bring u abt...
700? which leaves u 200 2 get an amp or a pedal if u wan

I would not mind on the guitar type..
but for metal kinda tone the amp and dist use that counts..

as for guitar any type..will do..
duncan invader,jb or duncan dist..will do find..
dimarzio..x2n or breed..
lace...drop gain..
emg..well no need to intro..

hey brudder,

i suggest u get a BC Rich warlock or mockingbird..those babes are awesome for metal..or if u can save up a bit more get a SEP or LTD guitar..go down to davis and check them out...a lot of "metal" guitars at davis but i dont really think a les paul would be suitable

i currently play an explorer but it doesnt hav a whammy bar

y so many ppl likes 2 get signature guitars?
true tt they r good but dun u tink tt maybe its a bit overpriced?
go customize 1 if u have da cash 2 buy a sig. guitar

Wait for City Music to get the factory defect Jacksons.

Get one for $120.

Tape up the cracks.

Go to Sungei Road and get yourself a $10 PRS Dragon II Treble.

Install it.

Get yourself a $42 DS-1 from Cash Converters.

Switch the knobs from the DS-1 to the Jackson.

Do the same the other way around.

And you're all set.

Use the remaining $728 to buy chicken rice or tv remote or what ah.

Hmm.

On previous trips to City music I have seen this Jackson with HUGE cracks in the body.

Not exactly an instrument I would want to invest in  no matter how little it costs.
