If its a floyd rose equipped guitar, the most important thing is that the bridge will stay in tune.

Nothing plays metal better than a metal pick though, IMO.

cn u recommend me any gd guitar tat comes wif a gd floyd rose which cn make it saty in tune??

Ibanez would be ur cup of tea.. Go head down to swee lee and see if any FR equipped Ibanez suits ur taste..

U do not need a floyd to play metal
Just get any fixed bride guitar. Outfit emgs.

voila ultimate metal guitar

always choose:

1. a guitar that sounds good & plays well,

2. then proceed to consider whether it'll oblige your genre requirement

consideration number 2 can be met via parts upgrade (most probably the pickup) which is not gonna cost you as much as choosing another guitar for the required task. ignore the brand name preferences, go with what you like.

the other consideration will be to assess your need- do you whammy? if you don't, opt for a non-floating bridge guitar.

refer to SOFT's review section for product scrutiny. good luck 8)

**PS: even a Telecaster can do metal...

heh i think any guitar can play metal, or any other genre for that matter. its just a matter of how its gonna sound.
