ya he just have to work on his facial expression.. but there are some part where u can say he played with a little spark of fire la... not a wild flame in his eye.. kinda find his playing very....i mean like as if he's forced to play it..and not that he plays for the sake of performing to entertain..

eh. I'm 16 and a total noob. seriously doubting whether i have a natural sense of rhythm, whether I can drum or not and if I'm just wasting money by trying to learn drumming. this guy makes me wanna quit.

I'll be honest here. Yes, starting young and being born with a natural sense of rhythm will definitely help. But then again, drummers like Akira Jimbo started at 18, and look at him now!

I've given informal lessons to a few of my friends who seemed interested in the instruments. After getting them to work the rebound with the proper matched grip, some of them can take as little as 5 minutes to play the straight rock beat, while some can take an hour or more.

The only time you should question yourself whether you can drum or not is when you're unsure whether you have the passion and love for the instrument to want to commit to it.

Otherwise, it's drumming for life, and I'm sure most of the drummers here will agree with me.

yea it's the passion that drives u on to learn.. not whether ur more skillful that other pple... y don't u take that boy as a motivational err... motivational motivation to drive u to pratice harder to become better than him!!
u haven't even tried drummin and u wanna quit *shakes head*
cmon man...we have good drummers in soft..we can all help u! don't ever...never in your life..duobt yourself in anything u do. passion... passion... passion...

*hangs head in shame* i feel like i've had a good pep talk from like how many people....thanks drummer buah, mel80, wired...I've signed up at yamaha for drum lessons i'll have to miss the first session because of my exams but yamaha have said that's no prob. thanks guys! drumming for life -brandishes sticks-
