Iansoh, just want to confirm one thing about the UF8. You have one right?

There's a report that the keys B3, C4, D4 and F4 don't transmit midi velocity below 30. Is that right? Any problem with your unit?

no lah mine isn't a UF8. UF7, but no problems on it. i've got a friend who bought a UF8, which i remember playing for him with some hard-hitting playing in the showroom. ran through as many of the 88 keys as i could, don't recall a single one being deficient. especially any of the keys in the vicinity of the middle C.

might have been a bad batch of units from the factory, if it's a common problem among several users.

I heard that the first generation of UF8 had problems with the programming of the chips such that it is also impossible to hit velocities above 120 no matter how hard you pound. I heard that CME is offering free replacement of the first generation of badly programmed chips. Sounds like it is a thing of the past and they have sorted out their problems. Great news!
