Many of the songs of Shin, they don't write themselves. Then always pose beside motorbike hee hee... But the lead vocal is damm good, strong voice. I like Mayday better, but recently their albums not so nice already. Influenced by beatles. They're pop-rock la, still rock lor.

Till now it still doesnt make sense puting "ING" after HAPPY.

I was a bit disapointed when i found out that most of the SHINS songs were not composed by them in the 1st album actually an ang mo.

But the albums after, u will find quite a few of the keyboardist's originals.
Some cool songs such as fallen angel, without u i cant sleep, da juin xiao guai. U might not notice it because he uses his real name as composer .

If you want to compare, then what is Shin compared to MEGADETH?? Infants?

I want to form a band with malay and indian players and only the singer is chinese. Just for fun sake and tv glam glam, its bound to be in the finals man.

Haha...Shin..no offence meant.But i dont really recgonise their music cause they dont write their own songs. A band cant survive for long if it survives on other's composition. Band music is all about expressing one's ideas and prespective eh. Anw.. ive listened to stuff they wrote. maybe its just me..but dont really like their originals. But no denying. their first album was good. and the lead vocal has a wide range.


Regarding they change in mayday's musical style. I totally agree. They went hrougha transitional period. SO their stuff nowadays are more mature and less raw compared to the past. Listen to ka qia which was a very old song and listen to ya guan which is a very new song. A great diff. But i feel in this case change is good eh.

it's a forum i visit everyday..
i saw almost all the great chinese bands nowaday in live.sometimes you just cant find all the bands' cd but you can catch them often in lives...so i get very fimilar with their music.and i can tell what is good or bad.

you pick MAYDAY coz you have no other choice,haha no offence either. :wink:

hmm..to us here who supports mayday, i think its great cos they r really a good alternative rock band...but i dun really think they suits into the category of 'boyband'...cos if mayday is a boyband...den what about those real boybands like 5566...what r they suppose to be categorise at??

u can dun like mayday..but pls..i think calling them a boyband is really an insult to me, i dunno what the others think...if u have any comments..try to do it in a more objective way...see things from another angle...

nah, no money to watch. Though I don't mind checking them out if someone sponsors me. Heard their live performances are really good! 8O

for all we know a chinese acdc, motley crue, guns n roses, aerosmith band come out. if that happens, i'll be like, speechless.

yup..its a totally different feeling to hear them live from the album...they will re-make some of the songs to get it a whole new feeling...so i really hope i can get the money to go...somemore still got time la..their concert at december...calistar u can slowly save the money

17 and no income. lol. I don't even take allowance. on top of that, I'm considered an arts student. So even poorer. :x
