Carvin Dealer?

Is there a Carvin dealer in Singapore? I've been trying to search for one, but I can't seem to find any. On the Carvin website they have Excel Sports listed as a dealer, or something like that. I tried the email link (there was no url) and the email I sent bounced back.

Can anyone help me out?

Excel Sports (Ranking Sports) is located at Bras Basah Complex. Same floor as Swee Lee, they have a poorly painted black cello at the entrance on display. They used to have a small inventory of Carvin guitars & basses. But since their renovation, I haven't seen a single one. So not sure if they are still doing Carvin.

Hey thanks for such a quick reply!

Um, yeh I thought it was that place, but wasn't too sure about it. They sell d'addario's for really cheap huh? :D It does look really shabby though, and I really don't think they sell what I'm looking for.

Well, what I want to get is a Carvin TS100 which is a tube power amp. I have no idea how to get it coz Carvin don't even sell through music123. Any ideas?

Carvin sells factory direct within the US. So not much point for other e-tailers to carry their products. I'm not sure if that poweramp u're looking for has a 110/230V switch. If it does, and Excel Sports no longer carries Carvin, u could get someone to order from Carvin and forward it to you. Either way, check with Excel Sports if they are willing to bring it in for ya.

If you noticed, Carvin even blocked out international users from their main site. They have a new carvinworld site now. I was kinda annoyed when they did that, cos they don't have alot of content on the international site. I guess it was hurting the business of their international dealers, when customers see the significant price difference between the US and the rest of the world.

If you are really interested in the carvin tube amp.
you can visit ranking at bras basah.
over there they can help u to check out the price and they can order for u.

i have checked the price with singapore agent (excel sports & music).
Is going at $1200. If you are really kin...then u have to place your order fast coz their new carvin shipment is coming soon.

Wow! Thanks so much. That was incredibly informative. haha. I really didn't expect all that info.

That's too bad it's 1,200 tho. That's really steep :( Maybe I'll just try find some alternatives.

About the power conversion thing (120V/240V), is there a power conditioner or anything that can handle that? How do bigger acts that go to the US or from the US to the UK deal with powering issues?

Step-up step down transformers OR for richer bands, they have sets of both European and US voltage amps OR they just loan from music stores for a one time gig.

In any case, I'm sure Carvin can provide the 240v versions.
