Anyone tried it before. The fenders there are much cheaper than singapore's, and the price includes shipping! I saw a fender standard strat MIM for under 800SGD there. I wanna know if its safe?

Because you are asking if it is safe means you have doubts and do not feel comfortable about overseas purchases in the first place. So why bother using eBay at all? Standard Value sells Fender Standards brand new for $880 and you can check whatever you want about the guitar before putting down your cash for it.

Also please remember that not all sellers offer international shipping as an option.

remember to factor in shipping costs and GST first. It may not necessarily be cheaper than getting it locally.

if ur purchase is above 400 they will charge u tax.. so far ive shipped most of my drum related items from ebay.com, so far so good, no complaints, if ur worried and u want to receive ur stuff quick be sure to ask the seller to ship it via EMS, faster, more assured..

buying stuff from eBay? take it with a pinch of salt. sometimes, the sellers may not be completely honest and the guitars may come with a couple of duds.
don't forget that airlines have this tendency to mishandle their cargo by damaging it. that adds a lot of risk to your purchase

There are definitely risks when buying from ebay. I've had my fair share of gd deals and bad deals. Like the 1st time i bought a GT6 multi-effects, and it was actually a fake deal. It didn't came. But thk God for PaypAl. It really helps cos Paypal helped me to get my $$ back.

So always check the reputation of the seller u're buying from. The comments given by previous buyers/sellers. Cos ebay is really strict in recent yrs to help facilitate smooth transactions for its customers.

And yea, There's tax for purchase above a certain amt. So do take note ya. And yea, u nv know the behind the stories of how they handle ur goods. So do purchase insurance.

End of the day, u muz be comfortable in buying off online, if not get it off the stores or u can get BGWguitars or Blackwood to ship it in for u. Safer cos these guys always bring in lotsa guitars. So its definitely safe.
But rem, the drawback is u can't test drive the guitar if u're buying online, so be really sure of what u want when buying it online. Prices are always secondary when it comes to music equipment. They're goin to be ur babies.

2. Price difference is at least SGD$150 and above " Do include paypal exchange rates, shipping, insurance and GST"
3. Reputation of seller is very good
4. They ship items directly to singapore cause shipping via PO BOX or Vpost is not exactly the best way to do it.

It's always better to buy locally if you can find them. Sometimes pay a little more but rest assured the after sales service and peace of mind is there. There are folks like BGWguitars that can do that for you and are very reliable.

Yea, like wat Mr Junkiemanxl said, price difference is an important factor, no point buyinf something online is the diff is a few bucks. Not worth the risk.
And yea, get those sellers who ship directly. Its much more safer!
