"build" a guitar, where to get parts?

heyhey!~

S'like i want to make or "build" a MalmSteen Strat.

however electronics arnt my main concern as i will be Fitting my mia strat's electronics

but i am lookin for a Malmsteen colored body and hopeully a neck with the big headstock. but not scalloped~ just a regular fretboard will do : )

so does anyone have like a list of where to get these items or somehting?

or if like squier has a "copy" of the fender counterpart ?

yea.i thikn they might have both unpainted and painted.the painted ones can differ in prices depending on the colour.

anyways AzNjT, yea the malmsteem strat is Vintage White. if you want more specs can just check out the fender website.

I'm personally not very fond of the Allparts stuff. I've built a guitar with a neck and body from them and I wasn't too pleased with the way it turned out. For one thing, the body routing wasn't very neat. It was cheap, though, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Have you considered USA Custom Guitars? They'll make exact to your specs.

Then, of course, there's Warmoth. I built mine from them. Pretty good stuff but I heard that USA Custom Guitars makes better necks..

Word of warning, though. Be prepared to pay for quality. Trust me, it'll be worth it.
