Budget $600...wats a good amp to get ?

i agree with subversion on the Zakk mini-stack.
and i advise not to get line 6 spider amps if u plan on keeping it for long term. the sounds of those really just suck IMO. perosnally i go for clean tones more than having any kind of effects built into amps because thats what my pedals are for...

Heh, boss, maybe next time when you take stock from them, check with them for a suggested retail price. Just wondering, wont it be easier then posting in a open forum asking them to let you know if the price is too low when you can talk to them face to face about it?

p.s. we have utmost respect for our suppliers i.e. davis guitar in this case and will NOT undercut anyone in any case.

for our suppliers, if you realise that any of our prices are below retail, i'd GREATLY appreciate if you can let me know and I will make the necessary adjustments immediately.

sometimes genuine mistakes do occur and i seek your kind understanding. we never have any intention to misled anyone.

^ good one.

I own a valbee too, and I'm loving it :D
But it'll break up (in a nice way) if you're gonna jam with it.
It's about half your budget, btw.

quote Moggie_54: So Subversion.. Is there any difference btwn the Zack Wlyde and the Original Micro Stack 2?

definitely the looks...

we do take note of suggested retail price but occasionally mistakes with pricing do happen. (as could be in this case) sometimes mistakes are not realised unless someone points it out to us.

that was why i put out an open call to all suppliers who have noted any price discrepancies/complaints to let us know and we will correct it IMMEDIATELY. this is a sincere gesture that i hope will not be misinterpreted.

there is no point in undercutting anybody.

i also hope you guys understand that we are trying our best to run as tight a operation as we possibly can and if anyone is unhappy with anything, feel free to drop me an email at ebenex@gmail.com and I'll gladly address your concerns.

on a lighter note, feel free to drop by the shop to try out our pedals!

Red witch should be coming within the next couple of days. So's Peterson. We've just ordered a huge lot of Rocktron pedals. That should be here in 2- 3 weeks time.

Distortus Maximus, Empress Trem, Choralflange, Expandora, MI Audio Crunchbox, Line6 DL4, tc electronics all in stock!

see you guys soon!

thanks.

regards,

david

The Line 6 Spiders have ear piercing treble on jam levels with no way to turn in down unless you have an EQ pedal.

Never heard it on bedroom level. Get the Power Block with a good cab... lol. Seems like the PB has been forgotten.

Power block is a good option, but honestly, I havent experienced any crazy treble levels with the Spider, even at Jam levels.

The only problem I had with the amp, is to be digital sounding when using the amp's inbuilt gain, but when I used drive from my pedals, I had little to no trouble.

I had to switch my UM most of the time cause I just can't use their clean channel. And the UM I had to turn Treble way down to reduce the trebly sound even further...

Definitely digital cleans...

Pro Jr.

Think this is slightly above the budget. Got the Pro Jr. for a couple of months and loving it. Small little fella, and too loud for the bedroom. :)

Lols hahaz. Anyway, i'm going for either the PB or the roland cube 60x(if there's one, sry if its wrong). Maybe an ibanez TB series, make it over 50W and ur set 2 go.
