hey can anyone tell me whether the BOSS GE7 can be used as a clean booster?? thanks..

yes it can, and its a pretty good one too.

1. place it after your od/distortion pedals.

2. set all the sliders flat (in the middle notch), and set the volume on the GE7 higher than your unity level.

there you go.. step on it for a clean volume boost.

i suggest boosting the high mids a little as well to help your drives cut through better in a band mix.

Same here. I use my behringer eq as a clean boost. I put scotch tape on the frequency sliders so that they can only cut, no boost. The volume slider is free to cut or boost. I usually cut the lower frequencies, kinda makes it like a budget treble booster.

only if you BOOST. If you cut, no noise.

i use the GE7 as a boost with a slight tone change as well..

basically my eq are pretty slight curve towards the mid and treble side and with the vol higher den norm. It works pretty well for me

And if you need to do some crazy alterations to the tone, say grunge? or radio lo-fi efx? that pedal does help alot in it too! Never regret getting it at all.. works wonders...
