bolt on or set on gutiar

There are differences between bolt on and set neck. In terms of sound and tone, is different and set neck will be easier to reach the higher frets compared to bolt on because of the screw that cos the thickness i think:)

not necessarily true. look at a lespaul and an ibanez rg series.
it'd be tough to play the 22th fret on the LP while reaching the 24th on the Ibanez RG would be easy.

personally i feel its a slightly different kinda tone. glue vs screws.

one isnt better/cheaper than the other. Quality of construction is the key as you can see there are top end guitars that are bolt on while cheap copies that have set-necks.

it really depends on the construction design per se; the Les Paul is a classic example of a restrictive set-neck make.

You've never tried my bolt ons before...

haha, I know what you meant. My bolt-on is also very easy to reach the 24th fret and my les paul which is a set neck, I have trouble to reach its 22 fret!.....so it depends

i suppose bolt on neck are easier to replace and set neck cant/more difficult. les paul can get that kind of sustain got something to do with their set neck?
