blown tube?

I'm new to this whole tube amp thing and this was what happened a second ago.
i plugged in my guitar switched on my ac30, the red light came on... Then it blinked abit and there was some crackling noise. Then it went off. And now i can't switch it on at all. Has the tube blown?

Eh... 1 power tube blown - the amp will still have sound.

Tube amps are simple circuits but they ... need a little bit of ... TLC and God's blessing to troubleshoot.

I'd recommend bringing the amp down to a reputable tech - play for the diagnosis and stuff. At least you have peace of mind that your power transformer hasn't blown or something.

dude how long u've not using your amp. ? maybe the filter caps burns out .. try check the fius first i dont think power tranny or output trans burn..any smoke /burning smell?

you need to let the tubes warm up before you play or something like that , nice amp you have there and tubes arent expensive , changing them are

Around how much would it cost to change them? I know there are quite a few tubes in them.

Why don't you just bring the amp down to a tech to get a quote? I'm sure none of us here would be able to do that for you. I suspect it's just a blown fuse, but it may be something more. So just bring it down to a tech alright?

Yep. Awesome amp! Yeah. They have it at Tymc 144(?) for the smaller one and 199 for the bigger one. I think the small one weighs 5kg+/- itself. But hey! Beats carrying the amp. The brand's multicart i think.
